VIOLINISTAS DE KALIMPONG

Sinopsis

Gandhi Ashram School is a home for children from the poorest and illiterate families of Kalimpong, a small town in the foothills of the Indian Himalayas. The aim of this school is, through music, to change the mentality of these families and show them that any of their kids can be whatever they want. In 2000, the film maker of this documentary met the school and Kushmita, the soloist of the school orchestra. She was 7 years old. Since then he has tracked her to film her entire career. Now Kushmita plays the violin in international orchestras of Munich, Germany. Through Kushmita and other two girls, Srijana (7 years old) and Shushila (14 years old) we rebuilt this wonderful story full of music and wisdom.
